When the teeth are rather untidy, orthodontic treatment is possible without using “brackets”. In such cases, we offer our patients the chance to receive invisible orthodontic techniques.

Invisible orthodontics entails using devices made from a transparent plastic material, made to measure, which are placed on the teeth as a protective layer and may be removed and replaced. The devices are called dental aligners and have a number of advantages over brackets, including that they are more comfortable and easier to clean; the fact that they are transparent means that no-one will notice you are wearing them.

Conventional brackets

These are resistant and reliable, and movements are safe and predictable with them. We have the “mini” version, very comfortable on account of their small size and rounded wings.

Aesthetic brackets

These are transparent, made from sapphire and perfectly camouflage with the tooth, so they barely visible and minimise the aesthetic impact.

When you lose one or more teeth, those around the area start to move into the gap and try to close up the space. This compensation mechanism is uneven: most of the time, what happens is that the teeth end up in the wrong position.

For that reason, if you lose a tooth, we recommend that you visit a specialist as soon as possible. When a lot of time has passed since you lost a tooth and others have moved, orthodontic treatment is needed to correct the problem before any dental implants are inserted.
